Privacy Policy
The short version: Rainbow’s End Float Plan sends nothing anywhere. Your plan stays on your device until you email it to someone yourself.
What the app stores, and where
Everything you put into a float plan — your boat’s particulars, radio and phone details, safety gear, your itinerary, and the people involved (including, if you enter them, names, ages, phone numbers, a home address, and notes such as medical conditions) — is stored only in the app’s local storage on your own device. It is never transmitted anywhere by the app, because there is nowhere to transmit it: the app has no server, no account system, and makes no network requests.
The personal details deserve a plain word of their own: a float plan records them because search-and-rescue works better when it knows who it is looking for. They live in the same local storage as everything else. We never see them. Nobody sees them but you — and whoever you choose to send the plan to.
When you tap Share PDF, the app builds the PDF on your device and hands it to the standard iOS share sheet. Where it goes from there — Mail, Messages, anywhere else — is your action through Apple’s software, under the terms of whatever service carries it. The app itself sends nothing and keeps no record of where you sent it.
Deleting the app deletes the saved plan. If you back up your device, your backup may include the app’s data like any other app’s; those backups are managed by Apple under Apple’s terms, and we never see them.
What the app does not do
Rainbow’s End Float Plan contains no analytics, no advertising, no tracking of any kind, and no third-party data-collection software. It does not use your location — not even GPS; every place in your plan is a place you typed. It does not read your contacts, photos, or anything else on your device. It works entirely offline.
Purchases
If you buy the app, the purchase is handled entirely by the App Store. We receive no payment details, no card numbers, and no personal information from it.
Children
The app collects no data from anyone, children included.
Changes to this policy
If a future version of the app ever changes any of the above — for example, by adding an online feature — this policy will be updated first, with the effective date above revised, and the change described plainly rather than buried.
